RED Sounds is SMA's audio service.
SMA's database of music is the largest digital music library in the Southern Hemisphere. Tracks are uploaded onto a Dalet Music database and then programmed using the Music Master scheduling system.
SMA's Music Director and team of staff ensure all of our music is digitised and electronically labelled by artist, genre, tempo, power and harmonics. We use a system of day parting to play the right music for the time of day. Wave technology is utilised to ensure there is a smooth track transition. The science and methodology invested in our music content stands us apart from others in the market.
There are 30+ different and commercially appropriate genres of music to choose between. Music content is sourced from all International and Australian major & independent artists and labels. Approximately 35-40% of our music is Australian.
RED Sounds enables complete customised functionality, which can deliver advertisements and announcements in a controlled and targeted capacity.
SMA manages all the music licensing, public performance fees with APRA, AMCOS and PPCA.
