SMA - creating personalised music stations

Satellite Music Australia (SMA) has the largest digital music database in the southern hemisphere and approved music label agreements with APRA, AMCOS and PPCA. Equipped with the music database is the THX pm3 studio in Australia since 2001. SMA studios produce music and video for audio marketing that is delivered directly to retailers, hospitality and commercial establishments.

Music is delivered through one of two different devices: the SAT (Satellite) Box via satellite or the RED (Rich Entertainment Device) Box through a broadband connection. The SAT Box has 30 different music genres to choose from and the RED Box has 20. Each RED Box channel is programmed individually to ensure there are no duplicate playlists and music is played to correspond to different times of the day - like a radio station. They are personally monitored by SMA Music Managers whenever it is live to air. The RED Box, which is in fact blue in colouring, has a unique offering because it includes customised in-house scheduled advertisements for a full audio marketing solution.

 

 

Music and Vision solutions - a total customer experience

Provided with the non-stop music comes high-end video entertainment on plasma screens, called Vision. Vision includes digital signage, music and video entertainment processed through the RED Box.
